About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site role based in North Platte, NE. The Senior Tax Accountant manages and reviews complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other entities, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Responsibilities
- Perform technical tax research and interpret tax laws.
- Prepare and review workpapers for tax returns and planning strategies.
- Support tax planning strategies for clients.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to improve processes.
- Communicate with clients to gather information, explain findings, and provide proactive guidance.
- Mentor junior staff and maintain organized documentation.
- Stay current with tax and accounting standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA license or eligibility strongly preferred.
- Experience in public accounting with a focus on tax; prior senior-level responsibilities or supervisory experience beneficial.
- Strong tax expertise, including Tax, Tax Preparation, and Tax Compliance, with the ability to handle complex returns and planning engagements.
- Proficiency in Accounting principles and standards, including experience preparing, reviewing, and analyzing Financial Statements.

- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
