Senior Accountant

About the role

Sue Sumrell is recruiting for a Senior Accountant who thrives in complex, multi-entity environments and enjoys building processes from the ground up. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of accounting, operations, asset management, and finance while supporting critical business growth initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve revenue recognition and operational accounting processes
• Manage and process monthly payment activities and ensure compliance with contractual obligations
• Support financial reporting for management and investment partners
• Analyze project-level financial performance and operational results
• Drive process improvement, standardization, and internal controls
• Partner across finance, operations, treasury, legal, and asset management teams

Requirements

• 5–7 years of accounting or finance experience
• Corporate accounting experience in a complex, multi-entity organization
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• CPA preferred
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
