Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant on the Corporate Accounting team performs general ledger accounting responsibilities related to the month-end close process. This includes preparing journal entries and account reconciliations for Krispy Kreme and subsidiary businesses.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for Krispy Kreme and subsidiary businesses
• Perform consolidations, data analytics, employee compensation, equity compensation, and treasury accounting
• Analyze financial data and transactions to identify significant fluctuations for review and accuracy
• Assist in preparing month-end and quarter-end external reporting deliverables including internal decks and SEC filings like 10-Qs and 10-Ks

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
• CPA with large public accounting firm experience preferred
• Hands-on experience and working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SOX compliance, and full picture of business cycles, from transactional subledger accounting to the consolidated financial statements and disclosures
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent analytical skills and demonstrated ability to solve problems
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities
• Ability to efficiently work remotely or in the office as needed
• Ability to travel to various work locations or events/conferences (travel not expected to exceed 15%)

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Experience with financial software such as SAP or Oracle
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience with financial statement preparation and analysis
