Senior Accountant

Woburn, MA | $85,000–$100,000 base salary

About the role

KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting is partnering with a growing organization in the Woburn area to identify a Senior Accountant to join its Accounting & Finance team. This is a hands-on opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys broad exposure across the finance function. Reporting directly to the CFO, this individual will play a key role in the monthly close, financial reporting, reconciliations, AP/AR, payroll, and process improvement initiatives while gaining direct exposure to executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead key components of the monthly close process, including financial statements, supporting schedules, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Compile and analyze financial data and prepare management and executive reporting
• Assist with annual budgeting, external audits, and company reporting requirements
• Manage accounts payable, customer receipts, monthly and quarterly invoicing, and revenue reporting
• Process bi-monthly payroll through ADP Workforce Now
• Partner directly with the CFO on special projects, workflow improvements, and ad hoc financial analysis
• Provide backup and accounting support across the broader finance team
• Identify opportunities to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of accounting processes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of hands-on accounting experience
• Strong experience with monthly close and account reconciliations
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables and lookups
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
• Self-starter who can work independently while partnering effectively across the organization
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Pay

$85,000–$100,000 base salary
