Senior Accountant

KBW Financial Staffing and Recruiting is partnering with a Worcester, MA area company to fill a Senior Accountant role. This hands-on position involves managing day-to-day accounting activities, general ledger, month-end close, and payroll across multiple entities. Ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys variety and ownership of a broad range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting activities across multiple legal entities.
• Perform hands-on month-end close, general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and internal management reports.
• Process and/or oversee payroll and related accounting activities.
• Manage intercompany transactions and support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions as needed.
• Assist with cash management, banking activities, and analysis of P&L accounts.
• Prepare supporting schedules for external accountants, tax filings, and audits.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting.

Requirements

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong hands-on General Ledger and month-end close experience.
• Multi-entity accounting and payroll experience (helpful).
• Strong Excel skills and understanding of GAAP.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.

$90,000–$100,000
