Senior Accountant
Job Details
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on an ongoing basis.
Manage fixed assets within the system and generate depreciation reports for posting and account reconciliation.
Record routine and nonstandard journal entries with supporting documentation on a daily, monthly, and annual basis under accrual accounting standards.
Complete the month-end inventory valuation process.
Conduct month-end analytical review procedures to ensure accurate recording and proper classification.
Audit routine physical inventory counts three to four times per year.
Serve as a backup reviewer for purchase orders and supplier invoices, ensuring proper documentation matching prior to disbursement processing.
Cross-train in other accounting functions to support the broader team.
Assist in the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA or actively pursuing CPA licensure
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment and/or public accounting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Solid organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP systems
- Background in fixed asset management or inventory valuation within a manufacturing setting
- Public accounting experience alongside industry experience
