About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in the manufacturing industry. This is a permanent position, offering the chance to be part of an exciting, fast-paced environment where your contributions directly impact the company's success.
Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting transactions and ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
- Prepare budget forecasts and manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
- Conduct detailed risk analyses to assess potential investments.
- Audit financial transactions and documents to ensure compliance with the law.
- Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary.
- Manage all aspects of payroll, including processing, distribution, report generation, and record-keeping.
- Conduct regular ledger procedures and support the implementation of new accounting policies.
- Use QuickBooks and Excel to streamline accounting functions and operations.
- Provide insight on cash flow patterns, budgeting, investment priorities, and policy matters.
- Collaborate with financial team and executives to make decisions regarding company's financial strategy and operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or related field.
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to direct and supervise.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, Excel, and other financial management software.
- Experience with payroll processing and reporting.
- Strong analytical skills and experience creating financial reports and conducting cost analyses.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently, manage large, complex projects, and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
