Schedule
Full-time, onsite, Monday through Friday in Baltimore (21224).
Responsibilities
Corporate Accounting (Approximately 50%)
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
Analyze financial results and provide reporting to management.
Support internal reporting and ensure compliance with GAAP.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
Tax (Approximately 50%)
Prepare tax work papers and supporting schedules for federal, state, and local tax filings.
Serve as the primary liaison with external tax preparers and advisors.
Coordinate the timely collection and organization of tax-related information.
Assist with tax planning initiatives and respond to tax-related inquiries.
Support tax provision and compliance activities as needed.
Maintain accurate documentation to support tax filings and audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience with exposure to both corporate accounting and tax.
- CPA or active pursuit of CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Experience preparing tax work papers and coordinating with outside tax firms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
