Senior Accountant

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to join our team in Portage, Indiana. This individual will play a key role in managing the month-end close process, preparing financial reports, supporting daily accounting operations, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on accounting professional with strong technical accounting skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the full month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement preparation.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, analyze variances, and provide meaningful insights to support management decision-making.
• Oversee and support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring timely processing, reconciliations, and resolution of discrepancies.
• Maintain compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting requirements while identifying opportunities for process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience with strong exposure to general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
• Prominent experience managing the full month-end close process, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
• Strong understanding of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and accounting systems, with excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive salary ranging from $60,000 - $75,000 based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth.
