Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and review full-cycle accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
• Oversee weekly payment operations, cash transfers, employee reimbursements, and corporate credit card activities
• Manage affiliate receivables and quarterly rebill processes
• Prepare financial reports and support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements
• Support annual audits, tax return preparation, 1099 reporting, and audit-ready documentation
• Provide technical guidance to accounting staff while identifying process improvements and automation opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Minimum 2 years of nonprofit accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting practices
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with accounting systems
• Experience overseeing the work of others
• Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, audits, and tax compliance activities
