Senior Accountant

About the role

We're partnering with a growing, technology-focused organization seeking a Senior Accountant who wants more than a traditional accounting role. This is an opportunity for a high-performing accounting professional to make a visible impact, drive process improvements, work closely with leadership, and help modernize the finance function through automation, analytics, and emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and perform complex bank, balance sheet, and operational reconciliations
• Investigate accounting discrepancies and identify root causes
• Prepare and analyze journal entries and supporting schedules
• Support month-end close and financial reporting activities
• Evaluate current accounting processes and recommend improvements
• Help optimize Excel-based workflows and reporting tools
• Support ongoing Power BI, automation, and AI-driven initiatives
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve data accuracy and reporting efficiency
• Assist leadership with special projects and process transformation efforts

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience
• Public accounting or audit experience is highly preferred
• Strong understanding of reconciliations, month-end close, and general ledger accounting
• Advanced Excel skills, including working with large data sets
• Demonstrated ability to identify inefficiencies and improve processes
• Experience with Power BI, automation tools, or financial systems enhancements is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
