Senior Accountant
About the role
The Senior Accountant (Accountant, Sr.) position is responsible for general ledger reconciliations, general ledger analysis and forecasting, assist with reserve valuations, develops procedures, tests account backup, and special projects as assigned. This is a full-time role with a hybrid work schedule requiring in-office attendance on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, with the option to work remotely the rest of the week.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for monthly account reconciliations, and analysis
- Responsible for balance sheet trend analysis and reporting
- Maintains oversight of assigned accounts for exposure, reports concerns to manager
- Researches and corrects account discrepancies
- Tests ledger backup
- Participates in the month-end close
- Aids in the transmission and reporting of financials
- Assists with special projects, as required by management
- Aids in physical inventory and fixed asset audits
- Aids other department members and managers with projects
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, plus 5 years of related experience. Working knowledge of GAAP including experience in and ability to research GAAP and other Authoritative Pronouncements. Strong Excel skills. CPA License is required. Audit Experience with a large Regional and/or International Public Accounting Firm is preferred. Requires strong initiative, excellent analytical, organizational, communication, time management and written skills.
Qualifications
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Skills & Expertise

Pay
$76,150 - $114,040
