About the role
We are seeking a Supply Chain professional responsible for procuring and coordinating raw materials such as aluminum, resin, foundry scrap, and other commodities to support multiple locations. Key duties include ensuring timely delivery, managing supplier relationships, supporting cost reduction initiatives, and maintaining effective communication with internal teams and suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Placing accurate orders, analyzing inventory, and achieving 100% on-time delivery.
- Enhancing customer service through understanding expectations, rapid inquiry responses, and supporting new model launches.
- Managing supplier performance, providing feedback, and driving continuous improvement.
- Leading cost reduction projects, conducting financial analyses, and presenting results.
- Supporting on-site operations, communicating plant requirements, and participating in negotiations.
- Reporting on sales, costs, margins, and inventory turnover to improve department profitability and efficiency.
- Acting as main liaison to plants, coaching team members, and managing workload effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 3+ years in purchasing or sales with customer service experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills, understanding of business concepts, and conflict management.
- Knowledge of cost factors impacting profit/loss is advantageous.
