About the Role

Develop and maintain favorable internal and external relationships to provide the highest level of customer service by meeting or exceeding industry standards. Oversee the servicing of a designated book of business related to marketing, claims, and administration.

Responsibilities

  • Research root causes of issues, implement solutions, and resolve policy-related matters.
  • Recommend enhancements or improvements to processes, products, and policies.
  • Use discretion and independent judgment to analyze industry trends and provide client guidance.
  • Develop financial models and reports for clients and senior staff, including interpretation, implications, and recommendations.
  • Provide expertise in strategic planning and consultative advice, including coverage plan analysis and recommendations.
  • Engage in client strategy meetings to manage insured expectations for upcoming terms.
  • Develop and present coverage plans and renewal terms to clients.
  • Assess and interpret exposure information from clients.
  • Analyze carrier quotes to determine appropriate recommendations.
  • Interpret and evaluate policy terms to ensure adequate coverage for client exposures.
  • Facilitate client premium financing.
  • Participate in negotiations with carriers for new and renewal quotes.
  • Collaborate with senior staff in selecting new markets for submission and requesting quotes.
  • Review new business opportunities and provide recommendations to Unit Manager/Account Executive.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients, carriers, and vendors.
  • Research and understand industry trends and government regulations.
  • Mentor and train junior-level staff.
  • Perform other responsibilities and duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field and/or equivalent years of experience.
  • More than 7 years of client services experience, preferably in the brokerage industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to complete continuing education requirements as needed.
  • Ability to attend company, department, and team meetings, including industry training sessions.
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures, including protecting client and company confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft.
  • Proficiency with office equipment such as computers, keyboards, calculators, photocopiers, and facsimile machines.
  • Ability to work on a computer for prolonged periods.
  • Willingness to work outside of normal business hours as needed.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
