Responsibilities
- Maintains and grows client relationships for major market accounts with complex, multi-carrier benefit structures
- Collaborates on multi-year strategic plans including plan design optimization, cost containment, and benchmarking for large-group employers
- Manages claims and coverage issue resolution when elevated from HR, navigating self-funded plan administration and multi-carrier environments
- Advises clients on compliance matters (ACA, ERISA, COBRA, state mandates) and provides ongoing compliance reporting
- Facilitates open enrollment preparation including SBCs, disclosure notices, benefit booklets, and employee presentations/webinars when not handled by Account Administrator or Account Executive
- Manages new carrier, plan, or vendor implementations including benefits administration system build-out and project management
- Handles renewal preparation, financial analysis of renewal offers, and carrier negotiations for large-group accounts
- Aids in the RFP process including census preparation, online quoting, proposal development, and stop-loss marketing
- Provides benchmarking reports (annually, quarterly, or monthly) with claims experience analysis and peer comparisons
- Affords billing and eligibility audits; conducts independently when not handled by Account Administrator
- Performs contract review; facilitates SPD Wraps, Cafeteria/POP Plan documents, and 5500 preparation
- Installs and maintains client-specific data in BenefitPoint
- Prepares master group files, client contact sheets, and carrier files
- Provides mentorship to Account Administrators and Assistant Plan Analysts
- Attends continuing education training; follows HUB Broker Standards
Qualifications
- Active Life & Health License
- Minimum 5 years of EB account management experience, preferably with large or major market accounts (500+ lives minimum)
- Knowledge of self-funded and level-funded plan arrangements
- Client-facing experience presenting to HR leadership at large employers
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Preferred Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, training, and relevant professional experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for success in the role
- Experience with BenefitPoint or comparable agency management systems
- Experience with multi-state employer groups or multi-location accounts

Pay
The expected salary range for this position is $80,000 to $120,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
