About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager to join our medical affairs and publications team at Nucleus Global. This role is ideal for someone with strong scientific understanding and exceptional organizational and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serving as the primary client contact, providing strategic counsel on medical affairs and publication planning, timelines, and best practices.
  • Leading the execution of medical affairs (advisory boards, slide decks, etc) and publications (manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and congress presentations) projects from planning through submission.
  • Partnering with scientific, editorial, and project management teams to ensure all deliverables meet the highest standards of scientific accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
  • Leading internal teams to ensure smooth workflow, clear communication, and high-quality output across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Overseeing project financials, including budget management, SOW development, forecasting, and resource allocation.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities for account growth and contributing to new business initiatives.
  • Ensuring all activities comply with Good Publication Practice (GPP) guidelines and relevant industry standards.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in life sciences (advanced degree preferred).
  • 4–6 years of experience in a medical communications agency, with significant exposure to medical affairs and publications planning and delivery.
  • Strong project and financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and SOW development.
  • A proven ability to manage complex publication programs and collaborate effectively with authors, clients, and cross-functional internal teams.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of Datavision and Veeva (a plus).
