Senior Account Manager
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Account Manager to join our busy team working on a major retail client. The role is a key player in our team and will be the main contact for the client, other agencies, and internal Merkle stakeholders. The Senior Account Manager maintains client satisfaction by ensuring exceptional service and creating value through strong account management and interpersonal skills, ultimately responsible for the day-to-day execution of our clients' marketing strategies. This role requires partnership with various client and Merkle stakeholders, acting as a liaison to execute flawlessly and meet business goals. By ensuring marketing and support activities are executed in a timely and efficient manner, the Senior Account Manager directly impacts the success of our clients and Merkle.
Responsibilities
- Support or act as the primary contact for day-to-day delivery team and client
- Build strong relationships with key client stakeholders and other teams to ensure campaign schedules and processes are clear and adhered to
- Run internal and external client meetings; responsible for daily communication with key internal and external contacts
- Ensure timeliness and quality of client deliverables
- Continuously observe and identify areas to improve existing processes
- Bring leadership, guidance, and operational efficiencies to the delivery team
- Maintain a view of the bigger picture and disseminate information to the appropriate parties for execution
- Apply critical thinking skills to identify and mitigate potential delivery risks
- Remain extremely focused on detail while managing multiple email campaigns simultaneously through Braze
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 6+ years related agency experience, specifically within digital marketing or marketing operations
- Must have experience with Braze
- Excellent, proven organizational skills, including strong attention to detail and ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with client-facing responsibilities and giving client presentations
- Knowledge of contracts and managing a SOW, along with scope creation and management
- Ability to leverage business experience/acumen to identify new business and marketing opportunities
- Strong listening and superior relationship-building skills
- Experience leading teams is a plus
Schedule
Dentsu’s hybrid way of working combines remote flexibility with regular in-person collaboration. Employees who live within commuting distance (90 minutes) of a Headquarters or Hub Office (New York, Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles) are required to work in the office 2–3 days per week, including one Team Day. The minimum number of days may vary by office and role. Employees not near an office may be designated as remote, depending on the role and business needs. Regardless of work location, flexibility is expected to meet company and client needs, which may include occasional office attendance.
Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $68,000 – $110,400. Placement within the range is based on relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
