About the role
Genesys is expanding in the U.S. Public Sector market, offering a creative, fast-paced, entrepreneurial work environment where you’ll be at the center of Genesys’ innovation. As a Genesys Senior Account Executive, you’ll own the adoption and growth of emerging cloud technologies that allow government to more effectively and economically serve their constituents and employees.
Responsibilities
- Drive revenue and market share in a defined geographic region.
- Develop and manage a growing customer base in the Pacific Northwest and capture new logo organizations.
- Deepen business and technical relationships within your territory and help them launch new citizen facing services.
- Identify specific prospects/partners/channels to approach while communicating a relevant value proposition for your customers.
- Work closely with customers to ensure they understand relevant CX and AI use cases and partner with Customer Success to ensure mission success.
- Be a thought leader both in your territory and inside Genesys for CX and AI.
- Collaborate with Genesys’ Legal and finance team and others to manage complex contract negotiations.
- Maintain an accurate and robust pipeline of $6M+ and accurately forecast your business using MEDPICC sales methodology.
- Develop and manage the sales pipeline by engaging with prospects, partners, and key customers.
- Prepare and deliver business reviews to the senior management team regarding quarterly and yearly strategies that align with revenue growth expectations.
- Able to travel up to 50% within your territory.
- Understand and leverage consultants and lobbyists.
- Knowledge of Federal Government security frameworks and how they impact State agencies such as FedRAMP, IRS Pub1075, CMS MARS-E, SSA-TSSR, and NIST 800-53.
Qualifications
- Experience selling to a variety of state executive agencies including healthcare and human services, labor, transportation, and revenue.
- 8+ years of enterprise sales and/or business development experience with a focus on state and local government customers.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
- Live in Washington, Oregon or Idaho with an ability to travel to state capitals within your territory.
- Technical background in contact center technologies, DBaaS, SaaS, IaaS, CPaaS, and AI.
- Demonstrated history of consistently exceeding sales quota.
- Strong relationships with state agency executives.
Pay
This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.
- $111,700.00 - $196,300.00
