Duties
- Maintaining academic health and degree progression of assigned students.
- Transcript review, enrollment tracking, and active outreach.
- Building trustful relationships with assigned students.
- Responding to communications via phone and email promptly.
- Participating in institutional retention and completion initiatives.
- Attending monthly PACAA meetings, councils, and committees.
- Engaging in leadership or scholarly activities.
- Fulfilling training and reporting obligations related to campus safety protocols.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
Supervisor Duties
- No supervisory duties.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of 36 months of experience as a full-time Academic Advisor in higher education.
Department Preferences
- A Master's degree in academic advising, higher education administration, student development, or counseling is preferred.

Work Schedule
- Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (may include some weekends).
Travel
- Not required.
Primary Work Hours
All academic advisors at the University of Oklahoma have primary work hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with occasional evening/weekend work required with advanced notice.
