Senior Academic Advisor

About the role

The Senior Academic Advisor provides coordination for academic operations within the College of Education’s Department of Psychological and Quantitative Foundations undergraduate programs: Education Studies and Human Relations (ESHR) and Counseling and Behavioral Health Services (CBHS). Provides academic advising for ESHR and CBHS students. Contributes to a welcoming and student‑centered environment as part of the departmental team.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic advising including plans of study; advise on course selections, add/drop procedures, time to completion, tuition policies, and graduation requirements.
• Advise on academic probation and withdrawals.
• Coordinate evaluation of transfer credit.
• Facilitate exceptions to department policies and procedures concerning transfer courses or major requirements.
