Our client is a growing, technology-forward business valuation firm seeking an experienced valuer who wants to focus on developing relationships, winning new business, leading client engagements, and signing valuation opinions. You’ll be supported by an analyst team and established infrastructure, allowing you to spend less time building models and drafting reports and more time growing and managing your book. Role HighlightsFully remote, US-based positionGuaranteed base salary plus an uncapped, formula-driven bonusHigher bonus rates for self-sourced businessExisting book of business is highly valuable but not requiredLimited travel for commercially valuable client meetings and eventsOptional path to equity partnership based on achieving an agreed business plan ResponsibilitiesGenerate new business and build on the firm’s existing relationships and leadsServe as the client and engagement lead from initial prospect conversations through scoping, closing, and final deliveryOwn the valuation engagements you win and serve as the senior signing valuerDirect and oversee analysts completing the underlying valuation models, analysis, and reportsReview work for technical accuracy, quality, and defensibilityManage the client relationship throughout each engagementSign and stand behind the final valuation opinions deliveredCollaborate with the partners on engagement strategy, business development, and growth opportunitiesRepresent the firm with existing clients and develop new professional relationshipsParticipate in client meetings and industry events when an in-person presence supports business developmentStay current on valuation standards and industry developmentsHelp improve the firm’s sales processes, valuation workflows, and technology stack QualificationsABV accreditation preferredASA, CVA, and CBA credentials also welcomeCandidates without a current accreditation may be considered if their experience positions them to obtain the ABV and they are willing to do so; the firm will sponsor and pay for the processDeep, multi-year expertise in at least one of the following: Fairness opinions, ESOP valuations, Litigation-focused valuations, SPAC and De-SPAC valuations, or Purchase price allocationsExperience with conventional valuation purposes, including tax, financial reporting and compliance, transactions, and strategic or exit planningStrong experience with complex capitalization structures and cap tablesTechnical expertise, professional judgment, and credentials to independently lead, review, defend, and sign complex valuation engagementsStrong client-facing communication and relationship-development skillsGenuine interest in business development and growing a book of businessExisting book of business and relationships, or a clear and documented plan for building oneStrong comfort with technology, including Google Workspace, IT platforms, AI, and LLM toolsAbility to work effectively in a fully remote, entrepreneurial environmentPermanent authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship CompensationGuaranteed base salary determined by experience and the value you bringUncapped, formula-driven bonus tied to the net revenue you generateBonus eligibility begins once production covers your fully loaded base cost to the firmBonus rates increase as your book growsSelf-sourced engagements earn a higher rate than firm-provided opportunitiesObjective compensation formula rather than a subjective bonus determinationSpecific base salary, production threshold, and bonus rates modeled with each candidate during the interview process
