About the role
Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC Sales Manager to apply account management strategies to facilitate long-term customer relationships with targeted customers. Key responsibilities include:
- Planning, forecasting, managing, and delivering consistent long-term profitable branch growth.
- Developing and leading the sales team to be the premier supplier of equipment across all building types.
- Managing account assignments to the Equipment sales team to ensure secure sales performance to plan.
- Increasing market penetration in local business by securing new customers and expanding the scope of the existing customer base.
- Evaluating Johnson Controls' local performance in customer satisfaction and providing leadership for performance enhancement and issue resolution.
- Participating as the management team representative on strategically important key accounts.
- Establishing and maintaining personal long-term customer relationships with strategically important accounts to influence opportunities.
Responsibilities
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Planning, forecasting, and managing sales performance to plan.
- Ensuring top-line growth of revenue and meeting growth objectives around gross margin and EBIT.
- Managing trade working capital (TWC).
- Providing accurate and timely forecasting of sales and the corresponding allocation of sales support resources.
- Increasing market penetration in local business by securing new customers and expanding the scope of the existing customer base.
- Developing and maintaining Account Plans with all key and target accounts.
- Facilitating training and ensuring support resources are in place to develop sales individuals capable of selling the full scope of bundled offerings available.
- Developing strategies for the local sales team consistent with the mission and objectives.
- Evaluating the business environment of branch markets including competition, purchasing, and business trends.
- Integrating construction sales team activity within assigned staffing geography.
Requirements
Required qualifications include:
- 5+ years of industry experience in HVAC sales/account management and/or HVAC field operations.
- 3+ years of leadership experience with responsibility for the productivity or development of others.
- Available for frequent travel.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred.
