SELENIUM AUTOMATION TESTER

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Selenium Automation Tester / QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Java-based test automation, Selenium WebDriver, API testing, and enterprise quality assurance practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing scalable automation frameworks, integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, and validating complex banking and financial applications. The role requires expertise in UI automation, API and backend testing, Kafka messaging validation, ETL/data testing, and performance testing. Banking domain experience is mandatory, while payments processing experience is highly desirable. Experience in QA architecture, Salesforce testing, and mobile automation will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Java, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, and Cucumber (BDD).
• Develop and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, system, sanity, UAT, and cross-browser testing.
• Define and implement UI and API automation strategies across enterprise web applications.
• Perform API testing and backend integration validation using Postman, REST Assured, SOAP UI, and ReadyAPI.
• Validate RESTful services, microservices, and application integrations to ensure data consistency and functional correctness.
• Perform Kafka messaging validation and verify event-driven workflows through real-time message testing.
• Conduct ETL testing and database validation using advanced SQL queries against Oracle 12c and SQL Server.
• Validate ACH transactions, card transactions, and banking-related business workflows.
• Lead Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud testing, including workflows, case management, and data validation.
• Execute mobile automation testing using Appium across real devices and emulators under different network conditions.
• Perform performance testing using JMeter and support security testing where required.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Maven, and Gradle.
• Manage test cases, defects, traceability matrices, and test execution reports using JIRA, HP ALM, QMetry, and Confluence.
• Generate automation and execution reports using Allure and TestNG Reports.
• Troubleshoot test failures, identify root causes, document defects, and coordinate with development teams for resolution.
• Lead defect triage, participate in Agile ceremonies, and align test execution with sprint goals.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor QA engineers, and continuously improve automation coverage, framework quality, and testing efficiency.
• Track automation ROI, defect trends, test coverage, and quality metrics to support continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in Selenium automation using Java.
• Expertise in Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, and Cucumber/BDD.
• Experience with Cypress for modern web application testing.
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, and SQL.
• Hands-on API testing experience using Postman, REST Assured, SOAP UI, or ReadyAPI.
• Experience with JMeter for performance testing.
• Strong knowledge of manual testing, including functional, regression, integration, UAT, system, sanity, and cross-browser testing.
• Experience with Kafka messaging validation and event-driven application testing.
• Strong SQL skills for ETL testing, database validation, and backend data verification.
• Knowledge of Oracle 12c and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Familiarity with Spring Boot, RESTful services, microservices, Hibernate, AngularJS, and jQuery.
• Experience with Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, Maven, Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in test management tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, QMetry, and Confluence.
• Familiarity with Allure and TestNG reporting tools.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies, defect lifecycle management, and software QA processes.
