About the Role

This job involves:

• Sitting at a visual station, standing at a hand packing station, or working in the repack area to visually examine bottles and discard defective ones.
• Possibly standing at a lehr to visually inspect bottles.
• Occasionally lifting cases of bottles weighing 8–15 lbs or individual bottles weighing 8–14 oz.
• Performing tasks such as sweeping, unjamming lines, and navigating steps and platforms throughout an eight-hour shift. Employees rotate with others approximately every twenty minutes.
• Stepping onto and off one-level standard-height platforms without handrails, as well as going up and down stairs with handrails to cross over single-line conveyors.

Responsibilities

• Visually examine bottles to ensure they meet proper specifications (performed sitting at a light station). Defective bottles are discarded down a cullet chute.
• Hand pack bottles into cartons when required (involves standing at a hand pack station, reaching for and picking up 2–4 bottles, and placing them into customer cartons).
• Supply empty cartons to the carton conveyor feeding the case packer or hand pack station.
• Unjam bottle lines or equipment as needed.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices, including routine cleanup of the work area.

Pay

$25/hour.
