Selector - Outbound

About the role

This position involves hand-building pallets of products and loading them onto trailers, ensuring compliance with company and food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Read pick sheets, locate products using warehouse equipment, label and assemble pallets, and load trucks accurately.
• Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment, handle products carefully to prevent damage and cross-contamination, and communicate equipment issues or safety concerns to management.
• Operate warehouse equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks safely, complete necessary paperwork with wearable computers, and work scheduled hours with regular attendance, including overtime as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent; preferred six months warehouse experience or similar work.
• Must hold forklift and pallet jack certifications.
• Knowledge of safe lifting, food safety, and equipment operation.
• Ability to build pallets quickly and accurately, perform basic math, solve problems, and follow instructions.
• Must wear personal protective equipment.

Physical & Work Environment Demands

• Regular standing, walking, lifting up to 90 pounds, and working in hot, cold, or loud conditions.
• Ability to work in high or precarious places and handle airborne particles occasionally.
