Scholarship opportunity for students enrolled in one of the following programs: Técnico em Informática, Técnico em Geoprocessamento, Técnico em Agropecuária, Técnico em Zootecnia, or undergraduate degrees in Zootecnia, Agronomia, Medicina Veterinária, Ciência da Computação, or Sistemas de Informação. Basic knowledge of the research project’s activities is required.

Eligibility

  • Must be currently enrolled in one of the specified technical or undergraduate programs.
  • Must not hold any other scholarship, except those aimed at supporting students in social vulnerability.
  • Must have availability for 20 hours per week to fulfill scholarship duties.
  • Must possess a personal checking account (no savings or joint accounts).

Application Period

April 12, 2024, to April 19, 2024. Applications must be submitted exclusively via email to diego.zeni@ufsm.br with the subject line “Inscrição Projeto 056695”. Required documents in PDF format:

  • Proof of enrollment.
  • Simplified academic transcript.

Selection Process

The selection will consist of document analysis and an in-person interview on April 22, 2024, at Colégio Politécnico, Prédio F, sala 222A, starting at 2:00 PM, in order of arrival. Failure to submit any required document will disqualify the candidate.

  • Interview assessing the candidate’s profile and technical knowledge.

Selection Criteria

  • Compatibility of the candidate’s program with project activities (verified by proof of enrollment).
  • Satisfactory academic performance (verified by academic transcript).
  • Availability compatible with project activities.
  • Ability to relate the project’s importance to personal goals (assessed during the interview).
  • Technical capacity, including strengths and weaknesses related to project execution (assessed during the interview).
  • Evaluator’s assessment of the candidate’s academic performance and fit for the project.

Rights and Obligations

Rights

  • Monthly scholarship of R$ 500.00 from May 1 to December 31, 2024.
  • Coverage under personal accident insurance during scholarship hours.
  • Defined schedule for scholarship activities without interference with academic obligations.
  • Necessary guidance for performing scholarship duties.

Obligations

  • Dedicate 20 hours per week to scholarship activities.
  • Maintain updated personal information (email and phone) in COREM/Prograd, the Student Portal, and the Lattes Platform.
  • Hold a personal checking account (no savings or joint accounts) for scholarship payments.

Failure to comply with the above obligations will result in scholarship cancellation.

Results and Classification

Results will be published on April 25, 2024, on the website www.politecnico.ufsm.br. Activities begin on May 1, 2024. Candidates will be ranked in descending order of final scores. In case of a tie, preference will be given to:

  • Candidates with schedules more compatible with project activities.
  • Candidates with experience related to the project’s theme.

Pay

R$ 500.00 per month for the duration of the scholarship (May 1 to December 31, 2024).

Schedule

  • 20 hours per week.
