About the Role
The Seibi Lead Technician supports new model Machine Seibi project activities at various NAMCs, Vendors, and facilitates the deployment or modification of welding equipment to support manufacturing production changes. The role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to lead teams effectively.
Responsibilities
- Offline and/or online robot programming
- Confirm that new model equipment meets set standards and performs as intended
- Prepare and confirm new Body equipment at vendors
- Support Body Machine Seibi activity at NAMCs from installation to start of production
- Participate in effective written and verbal communication with Machine Seibi Team Members, Project Leaders, Management, and outside groups regarding issues that require resolution
- Lead Daily job activities and weekend work
- Work all shifts for weekend work and shutdowns and all shifts needed to cover SOP (Start of production) of new or existing equipment until the NAMCs are satisfied with production numbers
- Confirm daily activities to other TM’s, CW’s, working on jobs being led by you
- Report up to Seibi and engineering Leadership daily activities and project status
- Project tracking or area tracking for BPE machine seibi
- Support Machine Seibi projects and engage in travel (or dispatch) to the U.S., Canada, and/or Mexico NAMCs and suppliers, as well as foreign travel, including Japan, Canada, and Mexico
- Commonly work overtime, including weekends and holidays
- Support projects within region 1/Vendor (TMMK, TMMS, and MTMUS) and business travel to other Manufacturing Facilities in North America
Requirements
- Average of 1+ years of experience within Toyota Body PE Seibi or body maintenance
- Associate technical degree (or higher) or equivalent work experience
- Proficient with Microsoft products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to travel up to 75% at times (including international travel)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in an Industrial Maintenance-related field is a plus
