Seeking Part Time General Trauma Surgery PA in Pocatello, ID

About the role

Portneuf Surgical Specialists in Pocatello, ID (approximately 52 miles from Idaho Falls) is seeking a PRN General and Trauma Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join an employed practice serving Portneuf Medical Center, a 205‑bed ACS‑verified high‑volume Level II Trauma Center.

Located in Pocatello, a Fortune Top 50 place to live for families, home to Idaho State University and offering affordable housing, abundant outdoor recreation (hiking, biking trails, proximity to Massacre Rocks State Park, Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Tetons).

Responsibilities

• Work alongside 4 General/Trauma surgeons, 3 Trauma Surgeons, and 5 PAs
• Utilize excellent support staff
• Provide care in an outpatient clinic attached to the hospital
• Participate in hospital call when scheduled
• Contribute to the Dedicated Acute Care Surgery Service
• Document and manage patient encounters using Epic EMR

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (PA/NP)
• 1–3 years of surgical and/or clinic experience preferred
