Seeding Lead: 2nd Shift

Description The Seeding Lead is one of the most critical members of our growing team. Their role supports producing a quality product on time for our customers by overseeing the seeding machine operators, seeding machines, automation system for plate movements, seed germination and cleaning in coordination with production plans Duties And Responsibilities (Role may include some or all of the responsibilities listed below) Seed placementKeeping track of seed lossMaintaining proper soil moistureQuality - Support Food Safety by always ensuring cleanliness of the equipment and areaCheck that the gutters are always cleanMaintain the equipment in good running conditionPay attention to the detailsPoint of contact for all support areas, work with Maintenance technicians on equipment problemsCommunication with the seeding supervisorSending end-of-day report at the end of each shiftManaging plate movements in the germination boxManaging movements to the grow lines aboveKeep the seeding/movement information board updatedAny other jobs as required by the direct supervisor Requirements Good work ethicAbility to lead by exampleAbility to train new or existing seeding machine operatorsMultitasking between seeding and movementsTeam playerAbility to drive a forklift (preferred)Standing on feet for long periods of timeAbility to lift up to 40lbsAbility to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues with equipmentMust be able to work weekendsComputer Savvy Bi-lingual preferred but not required Salary Description Starting Rate $21.00/hour
