Seed Lab Technician

About the role

This Technician role is integral to the sample testing area, involving the preparation of seed samples for planting, germinating, and growing starter plants to gather data on yields and seed performance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples
• Clean glassware, maintain stock and chemical inventory, and clean the workspace
• Document processes and results via paper and LIMS to track samples and provide data for customers
• And more!

Skills

• Attention to detail verified by references
• Great communication skills (written and verbal) verified by references
• Interest in and openness to the sciences
• Proven tenure at a company with 1-2 years of working experience at the same organization

Qualifications

• No degree is required
• Familiarity with agronomy, biology, and laboratory practices
• Experience with documentation and lab management systems

Schedule

Work hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break and 15-minute paid breaks. Overtime opportunities are available, especially from October to March when a weekend shift is offered.
