As a Seed Handling Supervisor, you will lead and develop a team responsible for seed movement, germplasm consolidation, and export operations supporting Corteva's global research network. This is a people leadership role that combines employee management, operational oversight, and hands-on support to ensure the timely, accurate, and compliant movement of seed materials across multiple domestic and international locations. The successful candidate will build a high-performing team through coaching, talent development, performance management, and employee engagement while driving operational excellence, compliance, safety, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities - What You’ll Do Lead, coach, develop, and manage the Germplasm Consolidation & Export team, including performance management, talent development, workforce planning, and employee engagement. Oversee germplasm consolidation and export operations to ensure the safe, timely, compliant, and efficient movement of seed materials across the global research network. Establish priorities, allocate resources, and coordinate activities to meet seasonal demands and critical business timelines. Build strong partnerships with research sites, Shipping Focal Points, logistics, Regulatory and Compliance, and other key stakeholders across the global network. Ensure compliance with phytosanitary, import/export, biosafety, and company requirements through effective operational controls and processes. Lead the resolution of operational, quality, compliance, and logistics issues while driving corrective actions and continuous improvement. Monitor operational performance and implement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, compliance, service, and efficiency. Promote a strong safety culture and provide visible leadership to support business needs and operational excellence. Maintain active involvement in day-to-day operations as needed to support team success and business priorities. Qualifications- What You’ll Need Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in seed operations, germplasm management, logistics, supply chain, or related operational environments. Previous people management experience, including direct employee supervision, performance management, coaching, employee development, and talent planning. Knowledge of inventory management, material traceability, international shipping processes, export documentation, and regulatory compliance requirements. Understanding of phytosanitary regulations, import/export requirements, and trade compliance practices. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with experience driving corrective actions and process improvements. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across global and cross-functional teams. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and other business systems. Ability to perform hands-on operational activities, including lifting and moving materials weighing up to 50 pounds (23 kg), and working flexible schedules during peak business periods. Lean Six Sigma certification, training, or demonstrated continuous improvement experience preferred. Please note there is no visa sponsorship provided for this role.
