SimVentions is 100% employee-owned and ranked among Virginia’s Best Places to Work. We are seeking a skilled C++ Software Developer to support aircraft software maintenance efforts at NAVAIR-PAX River in St. Mary's County, MD. This position requires on-site presence 5 days a week.

An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required. Applicants must be U.S. citizens eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide software development expertise as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Review data, reports, studies, designs, design documentation, tests, or equipment to determine conformance with contract technical requirements

Requirements

  • Ability to write, review, and test C++ code
  • Experience working with Linux Operating Systems including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
  • Experience with Oracle databases
  • Experience with Visual Studio
  • BS in engineering or computer science

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
  • Familiarity with Ada programming language
  • Experience with DOORS and/or Cameo
  • Experience using and troubleshooting modeling and simulation (M&S) systems/programs
  • Experience with hardware integration and SW/HW interfaces
  • Knowledge of military avionics

Pay

The projected annual compensation range for this position is $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 (USD).
