About the role

This position ensures guest safety, resolves altercations, leads evacuations, and enforces policies in a live music venue.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guest safety through proactive personal interaction and hazard removal
• Prevent and resolve altercations among guests
• Lead guests and employees in emergency evacuation procedures and provide assistance
• Check identification of guests under 30 years old drinking alcohol
• Enforce House policy regarding photos/videos/recording devices
• Safeguard against theft and property damage
• Communicate clearly using radios, hand signals, and flashlights
• Set up area before opening
• Keep venue clear and safe, cleaning spills and removing obstacles
• Remain in constant contact throughout the shift

Requirements

• Ability to work late hours
• Flexible schedule
• 3 years’ work experience interacting with people in a positive environment
• Read, write, and speak English fluently
• Able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques
• Tolerance of all cultures, music, and art forms

Preferred

• Bi-lingual
• Cash handling experience
• Experience recognizing valid IDs
• Experience in a live music environment
• Self-defense training
• Experience using metal detection equipment
• EMT or other medical background

Physical Demands/Working Environment

The working environment is fast-paced, often loud, and stressful. The position requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet. Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques.

Pay

The expected compensation for this position is $16.00 USD - $20.00 USD per hour, based on market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
