Security Training Specialist- Gainesville- Full-Time Days

Qualifications

• Minimum Education and Experience: High school graduate or equivalent.
• Prefer associate's degree.
• Three years of security or law enforcement experience required.
• One year of experience in a hospital or healthcare facility preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications: Must possess/obtain Advanced Security Officer's Certification through the International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS).
• Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a non-frequent driver.
• Licensure: Must have or be eligible to obtain a State of Florida Class 'D' Unarmed Guard's License or have current Police Standards Certification.

Responsibilities

• Leads a security officer team to ensure security officers respond effectively to routine operations.
• Works closely with Shift Supervisors and complete assignments, as assigned.
• Contributes to the safety and welfare of patients, visitors and staff by enforcing Hospital and Department policies and procedures related to providing a secure environment.
• Performs various tasks within the scope of authority and responsibility to ensure their work experience is broadened to the fullest extent possible.
• Initiates, conducts, and resolves incident investigations using reports and information gathered.
• Liaises with local law enforcement agencies on incident investigations when warranted.
• Performs Security Officer or Security Supervisor duties, as needed.
• Ensures continued development of competent and trained security officers.
