About the role
US Concerts seeks a Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of patrons, employees, and assets. Key responsibilities include conducting patrols, responding to security and safety calls, and performing a variety of duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the venue premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
- Respond to security and safety-related calls in a timely manner.
- Exhibit exemplary conduct and appearance while on duty.
- Comply with and adhere to all departmental performance, conduct, and attendance standards.
- Perform a range of duties, often changing from one task to another.
- Adhere to legal and ethical instructions given by Security Supervisors and Managers.
- Investigate and compile accurate incident reports.
- Complete assigned tasks within guidelines and deadlines.
- Interact courteously and professionally with patrons, vendors, and employees.
- Perform security duties both indoors and outdoors, including line control, ID checks, and monitoring doors or gates.
- Work in various weather conditions year-round.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Understanding of the rule of law and relevant penal codes.
- Ability to represent the Security Department in an exemplary manner.
- Ability to work in crisis situations and maintain composure.
- Ability to memorize, recall, and quickly retrieve relevant information.
- Ability to interact effectively and calmly with angry or emotional patrons and employees.
- Ability to lift at least 45 lbs., stand, walk, reach, pull, push, grasp, and drag.
Qualifications
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly.
- Knowledge of security protocols and emergency procedures.
- Physical stamina and strength.
