Responsibilities
- Install various access control devices and electrified door hardware.
- Install and connect access control panels, power supplies, and control equipment.
- Install and program CCTV systems, both analog and IP cameras.
- Install and program NVRs and VMS platforms.
- Install cable and pathway systems to support security systems.
- Lead a team of field technicians under the direction of a project manager.
- Maintain a high level of quality control and ensure safety on the job site.
- Perform end‑user training.
- Participate in project commissioning and testing.
Minimum Qualifications
- Hold and retain certification in at least two VMS systems.
- Hold and retain certification in at least one access control system.
- Minimum one year of experience configuring physical security systems.
- Completed training for at least one camera manufacturer and received a certificate.
- Hold and retain the OSHA‑10 certificate.
- Served as a Field Technician (or equivalent) for a minimum of two years.
- Pass pre‑employment background check and drug test.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency in low‑voltage principles (Ohm’s law, load calculations, metering, etc.).
- Effective communication with customer IT and facilities staff.
- Ability to coordinate with other trades.
- Proficiency in installation, termination, and configuration of IP camera technology, controller hardware, power supplies, door hardware, and credential technologies.
- Competency in physical security system concepts and the ability to apply that knowledge in the field.
