Responsibilities
- May have responsibility for oversight or one or more security officers, and must have complete knowledge of the property where he/she is assigned, to include facilities, post orders, emergency contact lists, emergency procedures, special instructions, and all post duties.
- Assure proper use, and maintenance of all equipment used at the site by assigned officers (keys/key cards, cell phones, radios, wands, etc.).
- Affords staffing of all post in order to insure complete coverage.
- Responsible for scheduling officers and filling vacant posts.
- Conduct inspections of officers, appearances, licenses and uniforms.
- Assists with reviewing written reports and sign-in sheets to ensure clarity, completeness, accuracy, and legibility.
- Ensures that officers make timely and thorough daily report entries. Audits all entries for completeness, accuracy, and legibility.
- Reviews Post orders and makes recommendations for changes to senior management.
- Reports any major disciplinary problems or complaints of discrimination, sexual harassment, or unfair labor practices to the Senior Supervisor immediately.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have a high school diploma or GED.
- Have scheduling flexibility, as position may be on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
- Attend or be able to attend and successfully pass Admiral/ADM Leadership training.
- Internal candidates must have an exemplary performance and attendance record with NO disciplines within a year of applying for this position.
- Possess exceptional customer service skills.
- Be able to multitask.
- Be proficient with Microsoft office products and be able to operate and maintain site specific security programs.
Qualifications
- The successful candidate must have at least 2 years of security supervisor experience or experience in a related field.
- A College degree may account for ½ of the experience qualification.
- Military management background will also be considered as equivalent exp.
