Security Supervisor

About the role

The Security Supervisor provides lead direction to Security Guards at assigned client sites on assigned shifts. They perform duties of a Security Guard within scope of assignment, observing and reporting activities and incidents, ensuring security and safety of client property and personnel. They preserve order, enforce regulations, and assist in training and disciplining personnel.

Responsibilities

• Provides lead direction at assigned client site(s) on assigned shift(s)
• Ensures post orders are followed, completes established rounds, and files adequate reports
• Notifies proper authorities and client in emergency situations
• Counsels and disciplines personnel as appropriate
• Affords assistance in training and reviewing post orders
• Aids in the submission of payroll and personnel information to the company
• Affirms adequate security coverage of all posts
• Prepares, files, and submits various reports as required
• Inspects posts as scheduled and meets with subordinates to outline tasks and responsibilities
• Makes contact with client representatives as scheduled or as needed to ensure security requirements are met and to provide quality customer service
• Carries out lead or supervisory duties as assigned, including interviewing, orienting, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; and making hiring and termination recommendations

Requirements

The ideal candidate must be 18 years of age or older, have a high school diploma or GED, or be able to complete the GED program within 6 months. Above average computer and technology skills are required, along with impeccable customer service and team leadership skills. Must be able to remain calm and professional in stressful situations, have great attention to detail, and remain vigilant throughout the shift. Must have the legal right to work in NV and be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or G.E.D., and 1 year of security-related training or experience sufficient to meet the requirements of the assigned site, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, as determined by the company
