Security Specialist Generalist II (INFOSEC)

About the Role

Aima Data Management is seeking a Security Specialist Generalist to join our team in Reston, Virginia. This is a temporary role set to end no later than November 30, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Security Specialist and subject matter expert in one or more security disciplines: Industrial Security, Personnel Security, Physical Security, Information Security, Operations Security, or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security.
• Manage, implement, interpret, and develop security program(s).
• Oversee day-to-day operations of assigned security areas and act as a liaison with higher-level managers, subject matter experts, and customers within and outside the Agency.
• Analyze, plan, advise, and evaluate the development and implementation of policies, procedures, standards, training, and methods to protect the Agency’s information, operations, facilities, and personnel from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, assault, vandalism, espionage, sabotage, or loss.
• Conduct security studies, assessments, and surveys; provide recommendations and briefings on policy and position papers related to Personnel, Physical, Information, Special Compartmented Information/Special Access Programs, Operations, Industrial, Anti-terrorism/Force Protection, and Information Security programs.
• Prepare written reports and assessments; make recommendations for corrective action.
• Coordinate with the Agency, other U.S. agencies, military services, and state, local, and tribal partners to resolve security concerns and improve security programs.
• Ensure security standards are administered by reviewing and recommending updates to existing policies, procedures, and techniques; develop or modify security policies, processes, and procedures in assigned areas.

Requirements

• Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC), or the ability to obtain certification within six months of onboarding.
• Experience supporting security-related programs with the U.S. government.
• Bachelor’s Degree or 10 years of military service.
• Strong writing and reporting skills, with demonstrated ability to brief high-level customer stakeholders and senior staff.
• Experience reviewing, handling, and protecting classified information (Collateral and SCI).
• Ability to carry up to 50 lbs.
• Current Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.

Pay

Annual pay range: $110,000 to $120,000.
