Security Software Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Security Software Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will focus on building and strengthening the security foundations that protect product access, authentication, and authorization across the platform. The engineer will partner closely with product and engineering teams to design secure-by-default solutions that reduce risk while supporting a seamless user experience. A key part of the role will be developing security capabilities, improving automation, and helping teams remediate vulnerabilities with practical guidance. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $146,000 – $180,000 annually Responsibilities Design and maintain authentication flows and OAuth integrations Build and evolve secure authorization platforms for product access Develop BYOK capabilities for advanced data protection Create and maintain security features and automation across products Conduct reviews to identify and mitigate security risks Implement secure design patterns and guidance for engineering teams Collaborate with teams to remediate vulnerabilities and enhance security practices Qualifications 5+ years of experience in software engineering or security engineering Strong programming skills in Python, Go, JavaScript, or similar languages Experience with authentication, OAuth, and authorization platforms Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and remediation strategies Knowledge of cloud security controls, particularly in AWS Experience with secure software development practices and threat modeling Proficient in Docker, Kubernetes, and open-source security tools Benefits Health, pharmacy, optical, and dental care benefits Paid time off and sick leave Short-term and long-term disability coverage Life insurance 401k contribution options Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
