About the role
As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support a professional environment through clear communication, routine patrols, and exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access-related records in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly reporting concerns through established channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of industrial work areas, entry points, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help identify unauthorized access and potential security-related concerns.
- Support a professional, orderly environment by communicating clearly with site personnel and following Allied Universal and client-specific policies.
Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Possess supervisory experience.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay
$26.00 / Hour
Schedule
- Day shift: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
- Saturday and Sunday shifts available
