Security Site Supervisor

Wage: $22.00/hour. Previous Security Supervisor experience is required.

About the role

Functions as a supervisor of Security Officers, Lead Officers, and other company personnel assigned to one or more posts at client site(s). Ensures all post orders are followed, established rounds are completed, and required reports are filed. Notifies proper authorities and client in emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Coach and discipline personnel as appropriate; document coaching and disciplinary actions.
• Train Security Officers and other company personnel; review post orders and assignment details.
• Assist in submission of payroll and personnel information.
• Ensure adequate coverage of all posts and positions in conjunction with company management.
• Prepare, file, and submit various reports as required.
• Inspect posts as scheduled and meet with subordinates to outline tasks and responsibilities.
• Meet with client representatives to ensure security requirements are met and provide quality customer service.
• Carry out supervisory duties including interviewing, orienting, training, planning, assigning, directing work, coaching, appraising performance, rewarding, disciplining, addressing complaints, resolving problems, and making hiring/termination recommendations.
• Perform duties of a Security Officer in accordance with post orders and company policy as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. and 2 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in retail preferred.
• May be required to hold and maintain applicable state, county, or municipal license for Security Officers.
• Knowledge of security operations with emphasis on patrol, inspection, and response services.
• Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.
• Ability to provide positive direction and motivate performance.
• Understanding of security and safety devices and controls.
• Ability to learn quickly and carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
• Ability to track and maintain schedule assignments.
• Strong teamwork, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients, diverse cultures, and various social levels.
• Ability to write routine correspondence, logs, and reports.
• Courteous telephone manner.
• Ability to adapt to various sites and changes in post procedures.
• Must undergo and meet company standards for background checks, reference checks, controlled substance testing, and behavioral selection survey.

• Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds; occasionally up to 25 pounds.
• Close and distance vision with ability to adjust focus.
• Regular use of vehicle for duties.
• May be exposed to inclement weather or environments requiring protective gear and safety awareness.
