Wage: $22.00/hour. Previous Security Supervisor experience is required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Security Officers, Lead Officers, and other company personnel assigned to one or more posts at client site(s).
  • Ensure all post orders are followed, established rounds are completed, and required reports are filed.
  • Notify proper authorities and client in emergency situations.
  • Coach and discipline personnel as appropriate; document coaching and disciplinary actions.
  • Train Security Officers and other company personnel; review post orders and assignment details with subordinates.
  • Assist in the submission of payroll and personnel information.
  • Ensure adequate coverage of all posts and positions in conjunction with company management.
  • Prepare, file, and submit various reports as required.
  • Inspect posts as scheduled and meet with subordinates to outline tasks and responsibilities.
  • Meet with client representatives to ensure security requirements are met and provide quality customer service.
  • Carry out supervisory duties such as interviewing, orienting, training, planning, assigning work, coaching, appraising performance, rewarding, disciplining, addressing complaints, resolving problems, and making hiring/termination recommendations.
  • Perform duties of a Security Officer in accordance with post orders and company policy when assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. and 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in retail preferred.
  • May be required to hold and maintain any applicable state, county, or municipal license for Security Officers.
  • Knowledge of security operations with an emphasis on patrol, inspection, and response services.
  • Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.
  • Ability to provide positive direction and motivate performance.
  • Understanding of security and safety devices and controls.
  • Ability to learn quickly and carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
  • Ability to track and maintain schedule assignments.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain professional composure in unusual circumstances.
  • Courteous telephone manner.
  • Adaptability to various sites and changes in post procedures.
  • Ability to write routine correspondence, logs, and reports.
  • Good organizational skills and strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to interact effectively with clients at various social levels and across diverse cultures.

Working Conditions

  • Requires the physical and mental capacity to perform all essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain composure when dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff, and the public, occasionally under urgent or high-pressure conditions.
  • May be exposed to stressful situations, such as challenging individuals in unauthorized areas.
  • Must pass company standards for background checks, reference checks, controlled substance testing, and behavioral selection survey, in addition to any mandatory licensing requirements.
  • Direct and discipline staff in a positive manner.
  • May be required to work overtime without advance notice.
  • Handle multiple tasks concurrently, including keyboarding, basic computer usage, and operating controls.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, and walking for long periods; may involve climbing stairs, walking on inclines, or uneven terrain.
  • Occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
  • Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
  • Close and distance vision, with the ability to adjust focus.
  • Regular use of a vehicle for job duties.
  • May be required to perform stressful and physical activities.
  • May be exposed to inclement weather or environments requiring protective gear and safety awareness.
  • May handle sensitive and confidential information.
