Security Site Supervisor

About the role

Functions as a supervisor of Security Officers, Lead Officers, and other company personnel assigned to one or more posts at client site(s); ensures post orders are followed, rounds completed, reports filed, and notifies proper authorities and client in emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Coaches and disciplines personnel as appropriate; seeks advice from management; meets personally with employees and documents coaching and disciplinary actions.
• Trains Security Officers and other personnel; reviews post orders and assignment details with subordinates.
• Assists in submission of payroll and personnel information to the company as designated.
• Ensures adequate coverage of all posts and positions in conjunction with management.
• Prepares, files, and submits various reports as required.
• Inspects posts as scheduled and meets with subordinates to outline tasks and responsibilities.
• Meets with client representatives as scheduled or as needed to provide assurance that security requirements are met and to provide quality customer service.
• Performs supervisory duties including interviewing, orienting and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; making hiring and termination recommendations.
• May perform the duties of a Security Officer in accordance with post orders and company policy.

Requirements

• Driver certification required.
• Valid Ohio driver's license.
• 2+ years of security/supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to complete patrols.
• Strong technology skills (cell phone/computer).
• Ability to work independently.
• Experience with scheduling and performance management preferred.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. and 2 years of related experience, or equivalent combination.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in retail preferred.
• Must meet applicable state, county and municipal license requirements for Security Officers.

Skills

• Knowledge of security operations with emphasis on patrol, inspection and response services.
• Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.

• Understanding of a variety of security and safety devices and controls.

Pay

$21.50 per hour
