Security Shift Lead

About the role

Assist the Security Shift Supervisor by overseeing Security Dispatchers and Officers, providing training to security personnel, and ensuring that safety and security protocols are followed. Perform the duties of the Security Shift Supervisor in their absence and support the development of the Security team through training, coaching, and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate approved performance standards while protecting assets, safety, and security; assist in developing recommendations for addressing safety and security risks.
• Perform loss prevention duties to protect organizational assets and mitigate risks across the company.
• Document safety hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly to maintain a safe environment.
• Oversee and assign shift personnel to ensure compliance with security policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Perform Shift Supervisor duties in their absence, ensuring all security operations run smoothly and efficiently.
• Provide clear and concise information in reports, memos, and training sessions to ensure the effective transfer of knowledge.
• Resolve conflicts and investigate incidents using sound decision-making and investigative techniques.
• Assist with scheduling, payroll, and roll call processes to ensure staffing and payroll records are up to date.
• Support Team Members in performing security duties when needed, ensuring adequate coverage and assistance.
• Maintain confidentiality of organizational information and provide testimony as required in legal or administrative matters.
• Provide initial and ongoing training to Officers, conduct in-service training for Casino & Hotel Team Members, and assess performance through regular evaluations, offering feedback to support continuous improvement.
• Deliver training effectively by adapting to diverse learning styles, ensuring consistency and efficiency in training programs.
• Perform other duties as needed to ensure the safety and security of the organization.

Requirements

• High School Diploma / GED, Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED), or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD).
• Valid Washington State Driver’s License.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in law enforcement, security, or a related field.
• Minimum of six (6) months of employment as a Security Officer (Officer II) at Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel.
• Must successfully complete the Field Training Officer training within three (3) months of promotion.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows Operating Systems.
• Strong teamwork and guest relations skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to provide clear instructions and constructive feedback.
• Ability to respond effectively to incidents and make decisions under pressure.
• Strong organizational and conflict-resolution skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Law Enforcement, Security, or a related field.
• One (1) year of supervisory experience overseeing ten (10) or more individuals.

Pay

Starting salary range of $25.56/hr. – $26.83/hr., depending on experience, with opportunities for annual performance-based increases.

Schedule

Swing shift: 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM; weekends required.
