Security - Security Officer (Full-Time)

About the role

The Security Officer position at Valley View Casino & Hotel is responsible for protecting guests, Team Members, and the property. This role requires adherence to strict policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive guest relations and resolve complaints.
• Greet guests courteously and provide personalized service.
• Generate and review security-related incident reports.
• Escorts and observes guests and Team Members for safety.
• Identify and report potential safety hazards.
• Operate company vehicles and assist with transporting money and gaming tokens.
• Facilitate information flow through departmental meetings.
• Maintain a working knowledge of the facility and special events.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid California Driver License with a good driving record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and computer skills.
• Good judgment in handling information and maintaining positive guest relations.
• Ability to pass applicable auditions or skill testing and a drug screening test.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in law enforcement or gaming security is preferred.
• Physical requirements include clear vision, manual dexterity, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
• Must be flexible to work any shift, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
• Exposure to second-hand tobacco smoke, moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles.
