Security - Security Officer

About the role

Delta Health System is seeking a Security Officer to protect and maintain a secure psychiatric hospital environment by enforcing rules and regulations to provide for the safety of personnel, patients, visitors, and the facility.

Responsibilities

• Enforce rules and regulations to ensure a safe environment
• Protect personnel, patients, visitors, and the facility from harm
• Monitor and patrol the hospital grounds and facilities
• Respond to emergencies and incidents as needed
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One to three years experience in the field of law enforcement and/or security management
• Valid Driver’s License

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job, including standing, walking, lifting, and moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds

Skills

• Knowledge of security procedures and practices
• Ability to operate security equipment and technology
• Good judgment and decision-making skills
