Security Rep - E2
About the role
Lockheed Martin’s Rotary & Mission Systems (LM RMS) Program Security and Compliance team is addressing one of today’s most critical challenges: protecting sensitive government capabilities that ensure warfighter supremacy against peer and near-peer adversaries. As a Contractor Program Security Officer, you will safeguard the information and warfighting technologies that citizens and allies rely on to defend U.S. and allied interests. You will collaborate with program security experts, government civilians, and military personnel to provide a secure operating environment that supports military objectives.
Due to local mission requirements, an active Top Secret clearance within a 5-year scope—or eligibility to reinstate a TS clearance with a 5-year scope—and the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access are required. U.S. citizenship is also required, as most programs and projects are ITAR-restricted.
Responsibilities
- Administer the SAP Nomination Process, including processing, logging, and preparing incoming and outgoing SAP Nomination packages.
- Conduct annual Security Education, Training, and Awareness (SETA) requirements in conjunction with program off-sites; provide security indoctrination, debriefings, pre/post-travel briefings, and annual refresher briefings as needed.
- Maintain classified document control, including tracking documents in transition.
- Investigate security violations and submit required reports to the government.
- Perform administrative security functions, such as organizing and filing program security paperwork.
- Maintain end-of-day logs, safe checks, visitor logs, and pass-down logs.
- Assist with physical security and provide security escorting for uncleared personnel as required.
- Process and track incoming and outgoing Visit Authorization Requests.
- Conduct self-inspections; prepare for and represent security during government inspections and audits.
- Support the Lead CSSO with additional security tasks as directed by the RMS Advanced Programs Manager and local customer.
The role requires a Subject Matter Expert (SME) level of understanding of industrial security regulations and procedures, including experience administering provisions of the 32 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 117 NISPOM, DOD 5205.07 Special Access Program (SAP) Security Manual, and related standards.
