About the role
The ideal candidate will join a dynamic team dedicated to providing world-class service to customers, colleagues, and communities. They will be responsible for installing, programming, testing, repairing, and servicing various systems and equipment, including security, fire alarm & life safety, and building automation.
Responsibilities
- Install, program, test, repair, and service a variety of systems and equipment.
- Provide technical support and training for customers.
- Interpret manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams to repair equipment.
- Operate systems to demonstrate equipment, commission new systems, analyze performance, and identify malfunctions.
- Write routine programs for systems.
- Act as a key interface for technical support and training.
- Consult with engineering personnel to resolve unusual problems.
- Advise management on customer satisfaction, product performance, installation techniques, and standards.
- Execute technical aspects of multiple projects with varying timelines and budgets.
- Identify potential project risks and develop strategies to minimize impact.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager and/or Operations Manager.
- Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines.
- Ensure continuous improvement in customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
- Willingness to learn technical skills and/or experience related to fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems.
- Self-starter with strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to travel locally to jobsites on a regular basis.
Skills
- Technical skills in fire alarm systems and electronic security systems.
- Knowledge of blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications.
- Ability to interpret and repair equipment using standard test instruments and hand tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
