About the role

The ideal candidate will join a dynamic team dedicated to providing world-class service to customers, colleagues, and communities. They will be responsible for installing, programming, testing, repairing, and servicing various systems and equipment, including security, fire alarm & life safety, and building automation.

Responsibilities

  • Install, program, test, repair, and service a variety of systems and equipment.
  • Provide technical support and training for customers.
  • Interpret manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams to repair equipment.
  • Operate systems to demonstrate equipment, commission new systems, analyze performance, and identify malfunctions.
  • Write routine programs for systems.
  • Act as a key interface for technical support and training.
  • Consult with engineering personnel to resolve unusual problems.
  • Advise management on customer satisfaction, product performance, installation techniques, and standards.
  • Execute technical aspects of multiple projects with varying timelines and budgets.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop strategies to minimize impact.
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager and/or Operations Manager.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines.
  • Ensure continuous improvement in customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
  • Willingness to learn technical skills and/or experience related to fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems.
  • Self-starter with strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel locally to jobsites on a regular basis.

Skills

  • Technical skills in fire alarm systems and electronic security systems.
  • Knowledge of blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications.
  • Ability to interpret and repair equipment using standard test instruments and hand tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Salary and compensation details are competitive and commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Full-time position with flexible scheduling to accommodate local jobsites and minimal overnight travel.
