The AWS Data Center Security team is seeking a creative, innovative, and results-oriented program manager in the Georgia/Atlanta area to lead security and security-systems projects and programs in the data center environment.

About the role

The ideal candidate will contribute to a collaborative and productive environment with a strong service-oriented culture among multiple diverse and highly skilled teams of project and program managers. These teams are responsible for the design, installation, and evolution of physical security systems and programs, including intrusion detection, access control/management, CCTV, screening, and emergency response. A successful candidate will manage difficult and interdependent projects with regional impact, interpret Threat Assessments and AWS Physical Security Standards, and ensure proper security mitigations are implemented. You will collaborate cross-functionally to meet AWS’s high physical security standards and ensure local security teams have the technical knowledge and resources to fulfill the ongoing mission.

Responsibilities

  • Project Management for physical security systems related to new construction, expansion, and retrofit projects.
  • Preparation of physical security project lifecycle management, including bid packages, specifications, drawings, code compliance, vendor management, budget, change orders, and close-out documentation.
  • Maintain contemporary knowledge of emerging physical security technologies to assess their applicability within the AWS physical security program.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support for leadership to make strategic decisions regarding technology and procedure.
  • Balance performance metrics such as physical security system installation vendor service delivery performance, actual spend vs. budget variance, cost reduction goal attainment, post-installation defect rates, and physical security program analysis.
  • Manage vendors for on-boarding, RFQ, bid, contract, QA/QC, and support processes.
  • Effectively and accurately manage multi-million dollar budgets for infrastructure projects and initiatives.
  • Collaborate across teams and provide support for global initiatives.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience working on physical security design and implementation of Access Control/Intrusion Detection and CCTV Surveillance systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals regarding physical security standards and system designs.
  • Experience in the delivery of physical security projects or programs within an enterprise setting.
  • Background in any of the following: Physical Security Design, Security Systems Deployment, Physical Security Operations, Security Architecture, Construction Management.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or physical security designs.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully influence stakeholders without formal authority, leading cross-functional teams across geographies and business units.
  • PSP, CPP, or PMP Certification.
  • Training in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED).
  • Certification or experience with Lenel Access Control System.

Pay

Base salary range: $80,000.00 - $140,000.00 USD annually. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
